"GigaJoy" action
In December 2001, there was held an action under the patronage of "Communication without Barriers" Foundation of sending electronic Christmas cards with a "GigaJoy" slogan. On February 20, 2002 at the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw a press conference summarizing the December action took place. The conference was attended by Mrs. Jolanta Kwasniewska and the representatives of the initiators of the action – Intel, Microsoft, Optimus, RMF FM and Interia companies. The income from the action was intended for the purchase of computers for family orphanages. Due to a common enterprise of several entities, the "Communication without Barriers" Foundation could give computers to seventy Family Orphanges from a whole Poland, as well as to fund twelve computer labs for small rural primary schools because of the previously implemented programme "Computer for Janko the Musician."
