„Chopin for Children” – a concert to celebrate Children’s Day and the 5th anniversary of opening of the Clinic of Pediatrics, Hematology, Oncology and Endocrinology of Medical University in Gdansk.
The concert will be part of the largest project of Frederic Chopin’s music dissemination in Poland – with the name „Chopin arrived”. President of the Foundation „Communication Without Barriers” – Jolanta Kwaśniewska, will be guest of honor at this event. Concert Bureau HEROLD is the organizer of the concert. Beata Łangowska’s company PIANOFORTE will provide „Stainway & Sons” piano. Organizers and performers have renounced their fees.
The concert will feature:
• Agata Gładysiak – a student at the Music Academy in Poznan. She has performed in: Italy, USA, Switzerland, Holland, Germany and France. She won first prizes in international piano competitions in Rome, Kosice and Szafarnia. She is a participant in this year’s Frederic Chopin’s Piano Competition in Warsaw.
• Adam Kośmieja – a student of Manhattan School of Music in New York and the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz. He has performed in Carnegie Hall in New York, Poland, France, Sweden and Spain. He has won first prize in the Chopin Competition at Columbia University and Mieczyslaw Munca’s Competition in New York.
The entire meeting will be conducted by Dominic Matuszak.
