International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day (celebrated on the 15th of February) resulted in the meeting of members of the European Parliament prepared in cooperation with the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE) which took place on the 9th of February in Brussels. Young patients who overcame neoplastic diseases participated in the meeting as well. During the meeting, Jolanta Kwaśniewska and professor K. Pritchard-Jones from Institute of Child Health conducted a discussion panel devoted to providing the best possible quality of health care for children and youth with cancer in Europe.

To start planning further actions and in consequence improve patients’ situation in Poland, it is first necessary to get acquainted with the problem of access to cancer treatment. Having that in mind, the Foundation "Rak'’n’Roll. Win Your Life" provides the possibility to send a mail with the description of a patient’s situation.

9 lutego w Brukseli z okazji International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day (obchodzony 15 lutego) odbyło się spotkanie członków Parlamentu Europejskiego przygotowane we współpracy z Europejskim Stowarzyszeniem Onkologii Dziecięcej (SIOPE). W trakcie spotkania Pani Jolanta Kwaśniewska wraz z prof. K. Pritchard-Jones z Institute of Child Health poprowadziły panel poświęcony zagwarantowaniu możliwie najlepszej jakości opieki dzieciom i młodym ludziom chorującym na raka w Europie.

Akcja zmierza do oszacowania skali problemów związanych z dostępnością pacjentów do leczenia onkologicznego.
